December’s Book of the Month: This Christmas by Kimolisa Mings
A grumpy accountant. A charming assistant. A Christmas miracle?
Accountant Nicola OâReilly doesnât hate Christmas. She just wants to see the back of the festive holidayâfor all the reasons people are drawn to it. But when her charming, yet off-limits, office assistant weasels his way into her dreaded Christmas plans, Nicola canât come up with a reason to say no.
Could this be a Christmas miracle in disguise?
Ready to settle down, Hayden Simmons challenges himself to stay at one job for more than his standard six months. His plan is to determine if accounting is the profession for him before investing time and money in the education required.
The only complication in this plan is his employer.
His captivating, curvaceous boss has caught his interest, and Hayden believes thereâs more to Ms. OâReilly than meets the eye. So, when an opportunity arises to find out what that is, he takes it.
But in doing so, will it cost Hayden his job, or will it introduce new opportunities⊠both professional and personal?
Set in the small Caribbean island of Redonda, this Caribbean Christmas romance is more sugar than spice.

Bridgetteâs Review
This was very hard to finish. I was looking for Christmas and the Caribbean. I really didnât see too much of either. The OâReilly was a hot mess, not sure what they had going on.

Reneeâs Review
I had high hopes for the Caribbean feel but didnât get it. Because this was a Christmas story, I expected it to be quick but not rushed. As a reader, I didnât get attached to the characters. Nothing made me root for them because everything was told and not shown, if that makes sense. It didnât grab me, so reading it felt more like a chore than for enjoyment.
