January’s Book of the Month: The Last Man on Earth by Shae Sanders

Episode 74 is FULL of spoilers! It’s best enjoyed after reading the book.

Famous rapper Villain and his rowdy entourage are headed to his bachelor party in Brazil when his private jet crashes on a remote island. The only survivors are him and Ariana, the beautiful, older, no-nonsense in-flight concierge who can’t stand him.

Stranded with no rescue in sight, they have no choice but to work together if they want to survive. What begins as a fragile truce soon ignites into passion and forges a path to trust, understanding, and a love neither of them expected to find.

But when rescue finally comes, reality hits hard–the headlines, the scrutiny, their grief, and the fiancee and boyfriend they left behind.

Ultimately, they realize they have to decide: Will they return to the lives they once knew, or fight for the new life they built together on that island?

Bridgette’s Review

This is one of the best book I have read. I have experienced every emotion! The sun, rain, insect bites, scared, happy, excited, all the feelings. Vincent and Ari story was beautiful. It was kinda like rags to riches. I wasn’t sure if they would stay true to the feelings they had on the island. I don’t know what a trauma bond feels like, but I know this isn’t it. I feel so full and satisfied.

Renee’s Review

Maaaaannnnn!!! I didn’t even know what I was getting myself into when I started this one, but it was everything I could ever want in a survival story. The character growth was perfectly done. Villian was a damn villain, he was a heathen in the beginning lol. Ari was older, but she had a lot to learn about herself and about love. Never would’ve thought they’d be the ones to teach each other life lessons, personal lessons, love lessons.

The Last Man on Earth was so unique to me. I’ve never read a story like this before, and I loved every minute of it. Even when I hated Villain in the beginning. When he was fully just Vincent, ugh, I was in love. Perfectly written.
