A Glimpse at 2019 with sb3tz
We published our very first episode in January 2019. We read some great books and were introduced to amazing authors to now add to our fav list.
For a little fun, we came up with some questions to ask ourselves about the books we’ve read in 2019.
So, Bridgette, let’s see what you chose for each category.

“He Who is a Friend” by Love Belvin
I loved this series. I have never seen or read about a family like this one.
Biggest Shocker?
“Baggage Claimed” by Alexandra Warren
How bout the whole book was a _________!!!! (Not gonna spoil it – go read it!)
Most Heartbreaking?
“Plus” by Sabrina B. Scales
It was heartbreaking what Tashena went through.
Sexiest?
“Let Me Love You” by Alexandria House
Everett McClain was everything.
Sweetest?
“Falling For a Knight” by Té Russ
Cynthia and Roman had that kind of relationship.
Funniest?
“I Think I Might Love You” by Christina C. Jones
The storyline was jokey yet serious.
Most Unique (storyline)?
“Let Me Free You” by Alexandria House
The making of Neil and Sage’s relationship.
Most Different (from what you expected)?
“Snowflake” by Nia Forrester”
I would say Kaleem is different. I would have thought he would have turned out differently due to his father not being in his life his teenage years. But not so…
Favorite Hero?
“Wonder” by Christina C Jones
Maddox was my hero.
Favorite Heroine?
“He Who is a Lover” by Love Belvin
Bilan showed out. She kept the family together.
Telicia’s turn:
Fave overall: The Sadik series by Love Belvin. I just love Sadik so much 🥰🥰🥰, I’ve actually read the series a few times.
Biggest Shocker: “Baggage Claimed” by Alexandra Warren. Two people having the __________. I did not see that coming at all.
Sexiest: Mmmmm them McClain brothers 🤤🤤🤤 The whole McClain Brothers series by Alexandria House.
Funniest: “I Think I Might Love You” by Christina C. Jones was the funniest. Especially how the main characters met.
Sweetest: “Let Me Love You” by Alexandria House. Big South was the sweetest. His & Jo relationship 🥰🥰🥰
Most Heartbreaking: “Plus” by Sabrina B. Scales was the most heartbreaking.
Most Different: “Wonder” by Christina C. Jones was different because it was based on a fairy tale but the story was still relatable to real life.
Fav hero: Sadik as the friend, lover, & protector 🥰🥰🥰
Fav heroine: “Hook Shot” by Kennedy Ryan. Lotus! I typically love the male characters in books but not with Hook Shot. My favorite character was Lotus. I love it when hurt people don’t hurt people. When someone has a rough childhood and gets the help they need to be an amazing adult is stuff I love and that was her!
Renée, your go!
Favorite Overall
“He Who is a Protector” by Love Belvin
I’ll go with the last book of the Sadik series. I got sucked into each book of this series and wanted to stay there forever. Sadik and Bilan!
Biggest Shocker
“Baggage Claimed” by Alexandra Warren
If you read this sucker, you know exactly why we all agree that this one had all our mouths on the floor.
Most Heartbreaking
“Hook Shot” by Kennedy Ryan
Lotus went through soooo much as a child and even into adulthood. Even after meeting the man made for her, she kept getting hit with hard times emotionally. In the end, it all turned out okay. It was still hard to experience through her eyes.
Sexiest
“Let Me Love You” by Alexandria House
Everette “Big South” McClain! That man right there! Can I be Jo?
Sweetest
“Falling For a Knight” by Té Russ
Roman and Cyn had a really cute story. I loved them together.
Funniest
“I Think I Might Love You” by Christina C. Jones
That cat scene! LOL
Most Unique
“If Beale Street Could Talk” by James Baldwin – I say unique because I’d never read Balwin before. I definitely heard of his work. The story didn’t really have an ending to me and I’d never felt so lost like I was left hanging. That’s when I had to really think about what really happened and it hit me.
Most Different
“Wonder” by Christina C. Jones – I absolutely loved the story from top to bottom. Being in a different time and pretty much different setting was exciting.
Favorite Hero
“He Who is A Friend” by Love Belvin
Sadik Qadir Ellis! A perfectly flawed man with sides of him that made me want to hurt him and love him all at the same time. He always swooped in to save the day. Love him all the way.
Favorite Heroine
“He Who is a Protector” by Love Belvin
Bilan, Bilan, Bilan! I want to be like her lol. Her transformation from book one all the way to the end will always keep her in my top five. She is currently number one.
