October’s Book of the Month: Love Scammed by Rilzy Adams
Below is Episode 45, and it’s full of spoilers. If you haven’t read Love Scammed, skip down to our reviews.
It’s the blind date to end all blind dates.
When Monae Alexander turns up to Miami International Airport to meet her best friend, Tempest, for their anti-Valentine’s Day girls’ trip to Turks and Caicos, she realizes she’s been scammed. Tempest is nowhere in sight and soon Monae finds out that the trip was an elaborate scheme to get her to meet Hudson Bradley, a man Tempest had been trying to set Monae up with for months. Hudson has been played too, thinking he was heading overseas for a business trip and not a five-day Valentine’s Day getaway with a woman he’s never met before. It is the Valentine’s Day trip neither Hudson nor Monae asked for, but could it turn out to be just what they need?
Renée’s Review
First of all, can I get scammed like this? Cuz…Hudson is IT! I was in disbelief at how this story began because ain’t no way my bestie would do me like that. However, it was forgiven after some time. Monae and Hudson were as perfect as it gets. I love how easy their love was but also how real Monae was about her hesitation. We all have been there where we feel that something is too good to be true. Luckily, she was able to experience what love should really be like. With that said, I loved this story from start to finish.
Telicia’s Review
This story was so good! It makes me want to read Temp & Russ story because what happened in they story to make them think it’s okay to pull this stunt? They went extremed with the blind date. They didn’t think to invite them both over to a games night at they house? Granted it turned out amazing & I fell in love with Monae aka Whip aka Nae Nae lol & Hudson blind date vacation
