Review: The Fox (Family Ties Book 3) by Shae Sanders

They say opposites attract. Or something. Jazlyn Windermere doesn’t know about all that.

What she does know is that she loves her rapper boyfriend, Terio, and he loves her too. He just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. His trial is coming up, and it’s going to be a major media event, so Jaz is ready to shine for her man. But when a wrench is thrown in her plans, she finds herself at a loss, spiraling out of control.

Dallas Darrington is Terio’s lead attorney. He’s sharp, about his business, and ready to fight for his client, but it proves to be harder than he expected. Mainly because of Terio, but there’s also the matter of Terio’s girlfriend…who Dallas can’t stop thinking about.

His growing feelings are a huge conflict of interest, and Jaz has absolutely no interest in straight-laced Dallas…at least not at first. He’s not her type at all, but they soon find themselves drawn together by circumstances…and desire.

Can two people with nothing in common truly make it work?

***The Fox is book three in the Family Ties series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Telicia’s Review

I’ve liked Jaz since book 1. It’s the super pretty & down to earth for me. A lot of pretty girls are stuck up. Her and Malika’s friendship was so beautiful in book 1. I haven’t liked Terio since book 1. I get the whole liking the bad guy thing, but I’m so happy she got her good guy. Patiently waiting on my Dallas 🤣

I told yall Jaz wasn’t slow! She know what she doing in them streets. But who knew D would be the one in the end…oh my gosh!!!! And I knew there had to be a bomb dropped in this one, and boy was it let go at the end…smh. I wouldn’t have guessed all these pieces would come together like that; I feel some kinda way for Dallas. Now on to the Finale….

Okay, am I the only one who didn’t think Jaz would end up with Dallas? I had no clue until this book that he was even gonna be on her radar. But I’m glad it played out this way.

After reading about Jakari and Malika, I thought Jaz would’ve turned out wanting more to do with the family business. I don’t know why, but I did. Seeing her take her styling to the next level and go into business for herself was a better move.

I love her relationship with Malika. Jaz always wanted a sister, and now she has one. She has someone to talk to who will have her back and love her as family should. Cuz Gab was not that type of mother to her. Unfortunately.

Now, this whole thing with Dallas was surprising. As he said many times in the book, she was rude as hell to him. But we learned he had an attraction to the ratchetness, lol.

I didn’t like Terio from book one. He’d been in jail the whole time, and the way he messed over her was fraud. Then again, Jaz cheats back lol. They were toxic as hell. At first, I thought she’d never let him go, and it was irritating because, like her brothers, I wanted so much better for her.

That’s when “boring” Dallas comes in all mesmerized by his client’s girl. Bruh. He couldn’t keep his composure around her. It was cute, but I almost thought it was for nothing since she was gung-ho for Terio. Luckily, she saw that fool for what he was, and Dallas stepped right on in.

Opposites do attract. Those two had more in common than we thought by the end, though. I think they balance each other out, and fate lead them to the A at the same time. I’m happy how the wrong guy actually set the right things in motion for both of them.
