May’s Book of the Month: If Only For The Summer by Alexandra Warren

Below is Episode 52 and our reviews. It’s full of spoilers.

School may be out, but class is still in session…

After a hectic school year with her classroom of first graders, Nova Grant is desperate for a break. So when her best friend invites her to spend the summer down in Miami, taking the vacation is a no-brainer. The only thing is, her best friend’s husband had the same idea, inviting his friend Guy Thompson to stay in the condo Nova was already guaranteed.

Set up or accidental… Fate or coincidental… the attraction between the two is undeniable from day one. But with their days under the sun numbered and plenty of lessons to learn between them, Guy and Nova still find themselves teetering the line of lust and love, even if it’s only for the summer…

Telicia’s Review

OMG!!! Nova & Guy had me getting two hours of sleep. I thought I could read a little bit before bed Thursday night and ended up stopping two hours before I had to get up Friday morning🤦🏾‍♀️. Don’t be like me, don’t start reading this if you only have a little time. Jaxson is the coolest three-year-old ever. I literally felt like I was there; I could really see him asking all the questions and how Nova couldn’t keep her eyes off him & Guy at the airport. Real fathers are so attractive😍. All of Nova’s thoughts were mines🤣. Then I love how Mariah & Guy saw being toxic together wasn’t healthy for Jaxson & became the best co-parents ever. This story felt so real & I really enjoyed reading it & meeting all my people’s ❤️🤣.

Bridgette’s Review

It was so refreshing reading about my newfound love, lol. Nova and Guy’s chance meeting, well, not really, was something I don’t know if I could have gone through with. But they proved me wrong and stuck it out. My main squeeze tho was Jaxon. He was too cute and too grown at the same time.  Nice story.
